Is it really true that stock market investing is so easy that even kids can learn it? Well this is what Warren Buffett, DIC entertainment (Now The Cookie Jar company) and producers A Squared Entertainment and Time Warner’s AOL thinks.

DIC entertainment is producing a cartoon series called the “Secret Millionaire’s club.” The cartoon series aims to teach to kids the basics of finance, business and stock market investing the Warren Buffett way.

In the show Buffett’s character, which is of course himself, Warren Buffett, is host of the Secret Millionaire’s club. The club’s aim is to tackle business problems and teach financial lessons to its members. Warren Buffett himself is doing the voice over of his character.

The Secret Millionaire’s club is Warren Buffett’s idea. Buffett hopes that the cartoon will be fun and informative. According to him, this is the best time to help educate kids about financial responsibility. He further adds that good investing habits should be learned early. The famous Billionaire stock market investor is donating his time to the cartoon project in order to help educate kids about financial literacy.

When I first saw this, I was really amazed! Wow, I wish we had this when we were kids. I could have started investing in the stock market a long time ago. Everybody knows that one of the not so secret ingredients in stock market investing is “time.”

The “Secret Millionaire’s club” is truly a remarkable and noble project. I highly recommend that Warren Buffett pursues it and that each kid in the planet would be able to have access to the cartoon. I think this is possible since AOL said it will soon show clips of the cartoon in its site. (Believe you me, adults could also learn a lot from the cartoon too) :-)

There are three things I could further add about the Secret Millionaire’s club. First of all, it’s not a millionaire’s club but a “Billionaire’s club” considering that Buffett is not just a multi-millionaire but a Billionaire! And surely, if you follow Warren Buffett’s advice on investing, overtime you will indeed become a Billionaire. Also, Warren Buffett set up a real “Secret Millionaires club in 1956 called “The Buffett partnership”. I call this a real secret Millionaire’s club because a lot of his investors became millionaires and even Billionaires after several years. $1,000 invested with Buffett during that time is about $30.6 Million today.

Secondly, the secrets of the “Secret Millionaire’s club” are not so secret at all.  In fact it is an open secret. To achieve success in the stock market is quite simple as Warren Buffett points out. It can be summarized in just two sentences “Buy stocks as you would buy a business” and when you buy stocks “Buy companies with durable competitive advantage with excellent management at a fair price.” This is the crux of intelligent investing. The principles are so basic and easy to understand that Warren Buffett believes even kids can understand it!

Lastly, the “Secret Millionaire’s club” is not a secret club. Everybody is welcome to join it! There are literally thousands of books on value investing authored by very successful value investors such as Benjamin Graham, Peter Lynch, John Booggle, Philip Fisher among others. Books on Warren Buffett himself number to the hundreds. Materials on Warren Buffett, his letter to shareholders, and speeches and writing by his side kick Charlie Munger are all over the internet. This blog itself is dedicated to the principles of intelligent investing. Makes me wonder why people keep on following stock market investing systems and strategies that keeps them loosing money in the stock market. Well as Warren Buffett says “There seems to be some perverse human characteristic that likes to make easy things difficult.”

I am not saying that there is no hard work involve in stock market investing. Of course there is. Every worthwhile endeavor requires hard work. When you do stock market investing intelligently by applying value investing it requires a lot of reading and study on your part. Intelligent investing principles are however very easy to understand that even kids can understand it.

Below are two videos. The first one is a 3 minute clip of the “Secret’s Millionaire’s club.” The second video is the making of the “Secret Millionaire’s club.” Hope you will enjoy it and finally decide to become part of Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaire’s club. If you have already decided to become part of Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaire club than I say to you WELCOME FELLOW MILLIONAIRES-BILLIONAIRES !
