Welcome to Guerilla Investing!
I started to explore the wonderful world of blogging in the middle of the year of 2007. I first started blogging using blogspot. I still have several blogs with them, nothing serious though, but I decided to keep them for linking support.
Anyway, my first “serious” blog on a self hosted wordpress blogging platform was a “guerilla blog” where I blog about anything. I have so much interest and passion in life that I really did not know what to write about. So I just decided to write about everything. Most professional blogger think it is best to find a single topic to write about on a single blog. They call this is niche blogging. But I wanted to write about almost everything under the sun. So I disregarded this convention and started to find out that there exists such a thing as “guerilla blogging”. You can read more on this on my other blog which I will introduce later on.
I first started www.zdiaz.com sometime in November 2007. As of the time of this writing it will be more or less my 19th month of blogging. I have achieved several milestones on that blog, and I am quite happy with its success.
As blogged on zdiaz.com, I noticed that two there were two things that turned up to be my passion. These were things that I could really write something about. In effect I discovered my niche. These two involved making money online. First I have the topic on making money in blogging and secondly the topic on stock market investments, business and finance.
Ultimately, these two topics dwarfed out all my other interest. I still wrote about other stuff, but it is these two topics that I seem to have interest in writing articles about. I was so passionate about writing about these two topics that I got several inquires via comments and email on them.
The debate as to whether to separate these two topics into two different niche blogs went on in my mind for several months. I wanted to prove that these two topics can still be maintained in zdiaz.com. However sometime early this year, I received an email from a company somewhere asking how much I charge for them to advertise on zdiaz.com. I sort of just brushed it off and did not take it seriously. After several months, I decided to take the offer seriously. To cut the long story short, I made $400.00 for a 1 year ad. When I thought about it, I realized that I could have commanded a higher price if my blog was a niche blog. These boosted the urge to separate the two topics from zdiaz.com. Don’t get me wrong, the possibility of earning income from two niche sites is not the only reason why did what I just did. However it somehow helped in the decision to start two niche blogs.
So I started out with www.guerillablogger.com is a niche site about making cash online through blogging. Less than a month later, I started out this site, www.stockmarket-investing.com which will talk about stock market investing, especially investing in the Philippine stock market, value investing, Warren Buffett, business and finance.
zdiaz.com will be sort of my “Guerilla blogging” site where I blog about anything under the sun except the two topics. It will sort of be converted to a much more personal blog. I will not be removing all my old articles related to the stock market business and finance and about making money online through blogging for SEO purposes. I will however be reintroducing, re-writing and polishing articles regarding that topic and putting them up in my niche blogs.

Update: Actually I wrote this post last year but I have to repost this again because I encountered a blog breakdown. Promise this won’t happen again. I’ll do a backup to prevent this from ever happening.
